We were invited to facilitate a feedback session for a regional CEO with their direct reports of country General Managers. The session involved the exploration of results and feedback from a 360 degree in-company tool with all those who took part in the assessment present in the room. Our task was to facilitate dialogue between the CEO and all present on strengths and development areas. Even though it was not explicityly stated to us but we were equally keen to listen for the Below the Waterline messages and dynamics present. In doing so, we were able to encourage deeper conversations on core needs that required attention. The session engendered safe, challenging and authentic contact between the CEO and all GMs. This led to further work, with the team undertaking a Leadership Development Intensive together. Their strong relationships that formed during the workshops became important connectors and stillpoints in subsequent months and years as their sector faced considerable turbulence in the region.
