This was a CEE BPO center for a worldwide retail operation. We were asked by the General Manager to help him and his team to make sense of the data from multiple engagement surveys and to use the results as a catalyst for improving and increasing engagement. After an initial Town Hall meeting to launch this project, we asked the business to put forward two representatives from each department. These representatives were trained in the Breakthrough Thinking methodology and, through involving their departmental colleagues in identifying priority issues that stopped them from being a great place to work were able to recommend viable solutions to senior management for workplace improvement. Both management and the team moved forward in putting into action the recommended changes that came from ‘grassroots’. This initiative was highly effective in bringing different levels of people together, in building trust and empowerment.
