• Executive coach; social change activist on two not-for-profit boards and leader of another; on the adjunct faculty for Pepperdine’s Master of Science in Organization Development.
  • Began corporate life as a lead design engineer at Texas instruments, then to Exxon Chemical leading operations and start-ups that included a grass-roots world scale plant with an international team that set a new standard for human systems, energy conservation, and safety. During this period met John and they partnered on a system wide improvement project and became life-long friends.
  • Experiences integrating social and technical systems, led to a work-study program at Pepperdine University for an advanced degree in Organization Development, with his thesis research focusing on Leadership Development through coaching. Following that, he advanced to World Wide Team Leader for the Organization Development function, covering 60 sites around the globe.
  • He left to start consulting, teaching and coaching leaders as a Principal in the Strategic Alignment Group. Since then, he created his own consulting firm, assisting hundreds of organizations and their leaders around the world. He developed and taught a Cal Tech executivworkshop on how to structure team-based organizations, and is a recognized expert in cross-functional and virtual teamwork.
  • He is an Associate in the Paris-based Inter-Cultural Management consultancy, specializing in cross-cultural work.
  • He created a successful quarter horse breeding farm, is a part-time professional photographer, and a past age-group qualifier for the World Triathlon Championships
  • He and his wife, Mary Jo (a senior executive with clothing phenomenon, Aeropostale) also have a trend-setting on-line home furnishings retail store.
